据美国福克斯新闻报道，前美国联邦航空管理局（FAA）发言人 Scott Brenner说，马航失联航班副驾驶员向空管说"一切正常"前12分钟，就已经调转了航向。

Brenner说："一位飞行员显然有意向的要把（飞机）带向不同的方向。"

"这是100%清楚的事实，要么是正驾驶要么是副驾驶，有蓄意做坏事的企图。"
